Free Crochet Pattern - Boy's Springtime Vest
Originally posted on 01/08/2011
Last Spring, I was about seven months into teaching myself how to crochet and I really wanted to make my kids something for Easter. I decided to make a dress for my daughter and a vest for my four year old son. I looked at many boy's vest patterns online. Many of the patterns did not have the look I was going for, and if they did, they required sewing a lot of pieces together. So I decided to make my own pattern. I wanted something pretty simple. The bottom
is worked in the round and the top is worked in rows, creating a simple, but interesting design without adding to the difficulty of the pattern.

After posting the free pattern for my Boy's Springtime Vest a few months ago I received many requests to write the instructions for larger sizes. I am happy to say that the Boy's Springtime Vest pattern is now available for sizes
2-4, 6, 8 and 10. I have also rewritten the pattern to include all sizes in one document. I hope you will find the new version of the pattern easier to read and print.
This is my first pattern and it has not been tested. If you find any errors, please let me know so they can be corrected. I welcome any
comments or constructive criticism regarding my pattern writing or the vest itself. You may sell items made from this pattern as long as you include the following information both with your listing and with the completed item: Boy's
Springtime Vest, free pattern by Lisa Hoffman, www.lazydaycrafts.com. You may not sell or
redistribute this pattern in any way. If you want to share this pattern, please link directly to this blog post. I would love to hear from you if you use this pattern or to see pictures of your finished vests.
